Hi, I’m Katie
I am a BACP registered, fully insured therapist and somatics-led practitioner, integrating talking therapy with embodiment practices and Conscious Connected Breathwork. I offer a warm, confidential space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions and your body's wisdom at your own pace. No judgment, no pressure, just genuine support.
A central part of my approach is understanding the nervous system and how it shapes our day-to-day experiences. I believe that meaningful, sustainable change happens when we work not only with the mind, but with the body's responses and patterns. (Translation: helping your body remember it's safe, even when your brain is convinced everything is on fire.)
Here's the thing, I'm not just a therapist who's read about this stuff in textbooks. I've lived it. I've navigated my own journey with anxiety, depression, women's health conditions and Rheumatoid Arthritis. I know what it's like to feel disconnected from your body, to be your own worst critic and to wonder if you'll ever feel like yourself again.
There were years when i felt like i was running on empty pushing through pain both physically and emotionally…
My body was screaming at me to stop, but I didn't know how to listen. I felt isolated, like I didn't quite fit anywhere and my inner critic had me convinced that struggling meant I was failing. There were moments I wanted to give up.
But instead, I chose myself, I stepped into therapy, I found my breath, I sat in circles with women who held space for all of me the messy, the broken, the parts I'd been hiding and slowly, I began to come home to myself. That journey taught me something important: healing doesn't fit into neat little boxes and neither do we. I've always been a bit of a spiritual soul alongside being a therapist and I don't think you need to choose one version of yourself over another. You can be rooted and free, you can love science and trust your intuition, you can be all of it and that's exactly what makes you whole.
That journey of choosing myself, even when it felt impossible, is exactly why I founded the Kynd Space. I wanted to create a place where everyone has somewhere they can feel held, seen and heard. Where no one has to think they need to do it all alone or fit into someone else's idea of who they should be. Because I know the courage it takes to choose healing and I wanted to build a space that honours that courage in every person who walks through the door.
This is your reminder that choosing yourself is always worth it.
Conscious Connected Breathwork is one of the most powerful modalities I’ve discovered and trained in, it’s been deeply transformative in my own life and in the lives of many others.
I offer 1:1, 2:1 and group sessions, because sometimes you need personal space, sometimes shared support and sometimes there’s something truly special about breathing alongside others on a similar journey.
I believe deeply in the power of community healing. When we come together with intention, we create space to be seen, supported and reminded that we’re not alone. In these spaces, we witness, hold, celebrate and connect, and that connection becomes part of the healing itself.
This work isn’t just what I do, it’s my purpose, to hold space for you, to remind you that healing is possible and that you don’t have to do it alone.
(And yes—there will likely be tea, maybe some tears and no pressure to have it all figured out.)
